Once there may have been a large tape worm, who ate everything in sight. It could swim on the surface of water like an alligator, and could stand on its end and be stories high. It lived in the amazon river and could slither in the jungles by the bank of the great river. There were few who dared even to see it, and none ever challenged it. That was the case, until…
It was slithering on the banks of the amazon, catching meals of large creatures, when a hunting group came through the brush some fifty feet away from the river’s edge. It stopped moving. Then, it slowly slithered around the tribe, camouflaging to avoid being spotted. It knew if it terrified them, they would run back to their village, leaving only a few for a meal. It also did not want any village or person to find out that it lived in the amazon. It slithered to the back of the line of the Nigura hunting group. It then slowly turned, and looked at the men. They were tall, strong, and looked much braver than any human he had ever seen. They marched in an orderly line and looked extremely disciplined. They had thick and sharp spears, big colorful shields and strong bows with the largest arrows it had ever seen. It looked at each of them, choosing victims. When its mind was made up, it crouched, then sprung! It twisted through the air towards the hunters. Its camouflage had ceased, and it hissed at the hunters. All of the men spun around just as the worm was descending. There was a great amount of noise. The group backed away, readying their spears. The great worm rose up on it end like a sea serpent coming out of the water. It sprung itself, as an immense coil of a spring would, towards a gathering group of men. The cluster dispersed in all directions, and it landed with a loud noise right where they had been. One hunter called everyone to follow him. This man was tall and well built. He charged forward, thrusting his spear in front of himself. The worm turned toward the man. For a moment, it felt fear, but quickly shook it off. It made itself rise to its highest extent, which was at least seven mens’ height! The advancing men following the strong one all stopped… except for the strong one. He took advantage of its vulnerable position and killed it with his spear. It screeched! Then it fell, hard and deafening. The ground shook. Everything was silent; then thunderous applause cheering for the man who killed the great tape worm. The End
Where do you get your gift of telling stories? They are great!
