Hold On!

Friday, June 29th, 2007

Before I continue my “GalactiGuy” posts, I’d like to say that I’ve noticed that my readers might not understand all the terms I use. For example, the solar system might be completely new to you, or perhaps Ganymede, or Jupiter, or even other planets having moons like earth. I, keeping this fact in mind, have decided to link some of the words that might confuse some to http://www.dictionary.com. All you’ll need to do is click on a technical word you don’t understand in my next “GalactiGuy”, and if the word is a link, it will bring you to the entry of the word on http://www.dictionary.com! I’ll do that for the next “GalactiGuy”. And if you like the way it works, comment and tell me what you thought. Thanks!

Look!

I’ve added to my “Humphrey” story. Check it out!

GalactiGuy #4

Tuesday, June 19th, 2007

GalactiGuy is shaken roughly inside the hand of his captor. He wonders exactly what is going on outside his current lodging. As you may remember, GalactiGuy landed on the solar systems largest moon Ganymede, has been scared half to death by a 15-story outer space monster, and has been captured by the ‘thing’ that scared him. Now he is being shaken around violently by the alien, but little does he know of his predicament.

“Trying to shake the life out of me, huh?” thinks our spiffy hero. “You won’t get anywhere with that. I’m a muscular man with marvelous durability.” Just then, as you remember, GalactiGuy’s prison (the giant alien) was pinned by his challenger. The alien’s strength is weakened by its fall, and his hand flies open.

Seeing his chance, GalactiGuy springs out of the hand and is startled by his predicament. Knowing that Superman isn’t around, and considering his contract, our hero presses his chest and activates his inflatable TZG (Temporary Zero Gravity) boots, which allow him to travel long distances by bouncing effortlessly, and speeds up and down toward his ship, the Light Particle, to retrieve his D-Blaster.

He hears a loud commotion as he draws near his shuttle’s landing point. He sees tons (literally) of massive aliens in a massacre (the one he almost unknowing escaped). He, seeing no reason to pass up the fun, skillfully jumps through the fight with super speed, dodging flying bodies, fists and boulders.

As he reaches his ship seconds later, deactivates his TZG boots, he grabs his D-Blaster, reactivates his boots, and hops his way back to his earlier captor in hope to save him from his earlier captor’s challenger. (Boy, I hate unknown identities! I know! I’ll call GalactiGuy’s captor: Captor for now, Captor’s challenger: The Challenger. That’ll work for now.)

To be continued…

Ahem…

Not writer’s block, blogger’s block

Friday, June 15th, 2007

If you’re wondering why I haven’t posted for ever, one reason is that from May 24-25 I had a grumbly throat, and for about a week after that I had a fever of 102 degrees F. The school year ended May 25, so for the beginning of my summer vacation I have been sick. That’s one reason. Another reason is that I just haven’t felt like posting lately. Yeah. I know. You probably want to throw tomatoes. You probably want to stop visiting ol’ Kenny’s blog. You probably are deleting that little link on your bookmark bar that links to www.kennymartin.com. Well, one, the “throw tomatoes” plan just won’t work (as you remember I’ve told you that before.) Two, the “stop visiting ol’ Kenny’s blog” and “deleting that little link on your bookmark bar that links to www.kennymartin.com” plans just aren’t the best choices. But, you, in addition to visiting my blog, can visit my Mama’s, Papa’s, sister’s, and brother’s blogs too! Yep! All four of them do. Just look under the link section of my blog and you’ll see all their names. So, I might post soon. Depends. But don’t stop visiting.

Super Writer over and out! (Cool way to end a post, huh?)
