Spirit and Opportunity

Those two names were made for Nasa Mission: Mars Exploration Rover. Spirit was the first of the two rovers to land. Its landing was on January 4, 2004, and Opportunity landed on January 24, 2004. They still work two this day. They have metal pieces of the fallen World Trade Center on them. They are twin rovers and landed on opposite ends of Mars. They are referred to as feminine. Their names were decided by the winner of an essay contest (her name: Sofi Collis). Spirit’s launch patch is this (with Marvin) ,and Opportunity’s launch patch is this (with Daffy) . Very interesting. I enjoy reading your stories!
Did you know that I flew many of the research flytes for Honeywell for the moon landing craft way back in the 1960’s? Ask your Papa.
Send me a list of the quarters you and Jack need. Hope to see you this Friday.
